At Cactus View Elementary, students excel in mastering standards in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The school offers special programs that enrich their learning journey, such as music, visual arts, physical education, and technology education.
The curriculum at Cactus View is in line with the Arizona Career and College Ready Standards. These standards were crafted with the help of teachers, administrators, and experts to give students a solid foundation for both college and the workforce.
At Cactus View, we are committed to treating every child with warmth, dignity, and respect. To help your child succeed and feel confident, our teachers clearly share daily learning goals and steps for success in every classroom, so students always know what they are working toward. We also offer small-group time four to five times a week in math and reading. These flexible groups allow us to tailor instruction to your child's specific needs, whether they need extra practice or an exciting new challenge.

Grade Book Policy
Our goal is to encourage all students to show mastery of the content standards for their grade level. This philosophy extends to our grading policy on homework. Cactus View enforces the district policy as found below.
Governing Board Homework Policy
The Governing Board supports teachers in holding students accountable for completing all homework. This policy is guided by the philosophy that the consequence for not doing homework is doing the homework. Site administrators and teachers will collaborate to develop programs and consistent practices to encourage and motivate students to complete all homework, and to provide opportunities for students to meet the requirement of completing missing homework for credit.
